A Discord User ID is useful when a username or display name is no longer enough. It is a numeric account identifier you can copy from Discord and use with Friendcord’s lookup tool to inspect publicly available profile details.
What is a Discord User ID?
Discord assigns each account a unique numeric User ID. Unlike a display name, which can change and may be shared by multiple people, the User ID is designed to identify one account. Friendcord’s lookup can use that number to show available public details such as the username, display name, avatar, banner, badges, decorations, profile colors, and account creation date.
How to find a Discord User ID
1. Turn on Developer Mode
Open Discord User Settings, choose Advanced, and enable Developer Mode. On mobile, open your profile, tap the settings gear, choose Advanced, and turn on Developer Mode.
2. Copy the user’s ID
Find the person in a profile, direct message, or server member list. On desktop, right-click the user and choose Copy User ID. On mobile, open the profile, tap the three-dot menu, and choose Copy User ID. Discord documents these steps in its official ID guide.
3. Run the lookup
Paste the number into Friendcord’s Discord User ID Lookup to view the public profile details available for that ID.
Why look up a Discord User ID?
A User ID can help when you remember the person but not their current name, when you are checking an old message, or when you need to distinguish between accounts with similar display names. It is also a useful reference when searching your own exported Discord history.
What the lookup does not show
The lookup is limited to publicly available profile information. It does not reveal private account data, private messages, or information that Discord does not make available. Rate limiting and human verification help protect the tool from abusive automated requests.
Use the lookup with Friendcord’s history tools
If you are trying to reconnect with someone from years ago, the Friendcord app can combine profile lookups with tools for searching exported Discord data, finding old friends, and recovering lost or deleted DM history.
Friendcord is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord.
Frequently asked questions
Can I find a Discord user by ID without logging in?
Friendcord’s web lookup is designed for a quick ID-based public profile check. You only need a valid User ID, subject to the tool’s verification and rate limits.

The ID is intended to identify the account, while usernames and display names can change. If an account is deleted or information is no longer public, fewer profile details may be available.
